Up-and-coming actress, Mimi Orjiekwe, stunned her colleagues and fans when she took her close friends to Zanzibar, where her actor boyfriend, Charles Billion, proposed to her.

But that was three years ago. So many people had expected the wedding bells to ring almost after the celebrated and much talked about engagement. However, it wasn’t up until now that some people started getting feelers of an upcoming wedding.

Speaking to Saturday Beats on the phone, Mimi confirmed her traditional marriage would hold next month with a white wedding that would follow sometime in September.

On why it took them this long to legalise the union, Mimi said, “I was very busy. I have been working all this period. I needed to take my time. But it is my life. I don’t know why people are worried.”

Mimi squashed any gist of her and her beau breaking up as she said, “we have always been together all this while. The relationship has been on. It wasn’t as if we went our separate ways at any point. People know us and they follow us on social media. I have never felt this marriage wasn’t going to work. But even if it doesn’t work, then it is not meant to work, I will not kill myself,” she said.
