I created this thread because of the previous thread on Best Antivirus To Use

Now, as i am sure some of the pros here know, aside from having the best antivirus, there are some practices that help you prevent some viruses
from getting into your pc.
For instance, flash drives, i noticed that some viruses attach themselves to trojans and when you insert your flash drive into the pc, and double
click on it, they jump straight into your pc. Some of them will even have infected your pc before you get a chance of doing anything.

Now another thing again is that, over the years what we call antivirus has changed. In the days of Dr Solomon and some of those old school antiviruses, when you have installed your antivirus, that is it. But now, we have so many other components, firewall, antispam, antispyware, some antiviruses do not contain all of this in a single package - yet they are all needed.

Another issue again is the combination of antivirus, lemme say quickly that i combine AVG free and Avast free, and i have not suffered any virus attacks for the past one year.

So it is based on this that i want to invite you guys and others to come and share how you keep your pc safe, as in the kinds of antiviruses you use, reasons why you use them, and other things you do to keep your pc safe. All this enhance your antivirus protection.

if u're computer savvy u can open ur flash in linux or winrar to view the files on it b4 clicking to open it. . .if u know wot to look for a virus would stick out like a sore thumb!

i dont kno much bt i kno much about kaspersky.its d 2nd best anti v. in d world,it does it al 4 me even if i insert any flash loaded wit virus dat runs automatically even at a clik of a mouse.it has d internet security features.one good tin about is dat if there is a new virus its unable 2 treat it sends info 2 their lab. n d neccesary update is sent 2 ur anti v. 4 imediat action.all u need 2 do is get a trial version which is just 4 a month b4 it expires just let me i got some license key files which u can use 4 a yr 4 both kis 2008 n kav 2009.their is also a way u can update it manually.Let me make it clear base on my experience,most virus gets into ur system 2ru d internet.stop downloading uneccessarily.most links dat looks like rapidshare ar realy not rapidshare, moxilla wil help u on dis cos it is d most securd browser in d world.4 more on kaspersky go 2 www.temicity.lefora.com .u can also get free license key base on demand.tanks
