OK thanks bro.
Plz what's the procedure for the legalization? Do I need to book an appointment with the embassy first?
How much does it costs?
And can I get it done that same day?
Tnk u

Procedure for legalisation is this.
1. go to federal ministry of education with your certificates such as waec certificate, transcripts and bachelor certificate. you will buy 1000 naira scratch card for waec..
2. take the authenticated document to federal ministry of foreign affairs and they too authenticate the same documents.
3. then you can proceeds to embassy to legalise your documents.
note - ensure your photocopy bachelor certificate has certify true copy on it with school stamp and also your transcripts must be official and not student copy.
....
you don't need to book appointment with any of those organisations but embassy attends to legalisation on Tuesdays and Thursdays btw the hour of 9am to 10am...
.....

let me estimates 10000naira for Fed ministry of Education and Fed ministry of foreign affairs but embassy is 8300naira per document in cash.
....
No.
it will take you 8 to 9days.

I hope I have answered your questions

One more question please!
To renew my Resident permit in Belgium, do I need any proof of financial sufficiency?
I'm actually applying to VUB for a BSc course and they need a block account of about €10k for visa/RP for 1 year as living expenses. So I'm concerned if they would still require me to show this €10k again for the subsequent renewal of my RP.
Godbless sir.

Yes u will still need to show proof of financial solvency for renewal of RP. The amount is not 10K euro. Do you calculations well. Also you can use other means to proof your solvency like the annex 32.

You need to proof financial sufficiency every year as a student in order for your resident permit to be renewed.

There are two ways; BLOCKED ACCOUNT or A SPONSOR BY PROVIDING ANNEXE 32

Nice Job bro...
All international student are mandated to proof financial sufficiency for each academic year they stay in Belgium.. you can work and save up to do sufficiency. But have in mind.. one must suffer for you to get that amount of money for blocked account.. either your going to class suffers... or your body suffers.. either of the two.

So in all renewal requires finical proof each year.

This is base on the school.. I have a friend who passed through this, normally blocked account by the government is maybe like 7k or so, but some schools will insist on the amount you have to pay in order for them to issue you certificate of solvency. I have seen it and I have argued it, but at the end, law na law oo

I have a cousin who was born in Belgium but schooled here in Nigeria. He wishes to travel back for masters program. Please is he going require a Study Visa? If not, what are the requirements to facilitate his travel back to his birth country. He has his Belgian birth certificate. I visited the embassy on his behalf, they said I have to book an appointment. Been sending mails but no response from them.

the school says €800 * 12. But subsequent renewal would be 666 monthly.
Re: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 9:52am On Feb 21, 2020
Why should the first year be higher than renewal? Normally the 666euro is the basic sum for student this year and each year they increase this amount... So next year it will be around 680. That is why the university want to pay higher so that even if the amount is increase after u have made the block account, u won't ha e problem with visa application. But 800euro is too much
