Their internet service is even getting poor n poorer by d day,despite d millions they r making. No reduction in tarrif plan only to find way of deducting your money n looking for one needless celebrity to dash d money as an ambassador. Nonsense.

What many don't know is, pins are generated by matrix software, even, MTN staffs cannot guess it except they physical have access to it after generation. Now, the code is like a serial Number, they ran out 100Billions (100,000,000,000) stock. So, they are trying to extend and upgrade their software to accommodate 1Quadrillion (1,000,000,000,000,000), believing they can never run out of this in the future. That's the reason they are experiencing network difficulty now, I have being browsing since 3 days now and my Data cap remained 19MB plus one of my 2015MB sim was automatically renewed without me subscribing.

This also happened around 2011 when MTN try to recycle their used PIN, they lost some much then as many customer who didn't trow away their used pin re-use it repeatedly. They are wise now.

It was tiring enough dialing Airtel's 15 digits, now MTN is competing with 16

FTC this feels good.

Since yesterday MTN has been de ducting 40k/secs on all calls that have been making to all network. Its so sad that yesterday I borrowed 100 naira card and after just 4mins the credit don finish, seriously I wan dey cry. The same thing too don happen today after loading 200naira. I swear I go curse them tire today if then no change there tariff.

Business wise, am sure they gon loose.

1. They can't loose business wise, no sane person will abandon an MTN line (or any other network) because the digits for recharging increased.

2. They most probably did it to make it harder for hackers to guess the sequence of numbers a la permutation and combination OR the software which they've using to generate the codes has exhausted all possible combinations of 12 digit numbers HENCE the 16 digit method.

3. It may be to encourage buying credit online (Cashless CBN Policy). This one no go work for me sha, I noticed that I don't get freebies whenever I load credit online

Who cares mehn. They zapped my 100 bucks without switching my tarrif plan to true talk +. I sit down dey look them for 48 hrs. I borrowed double the stolen money from them without paying and ported to 9ja for life.

I see no need for a 16-digit code since 12 digits had been serving the purpose. There will be the tendency of mistyping and missing a digit. MTN Ltd, pls make ur logical code 10 digits and spare subscribers the trouble.
