BET Awards nominee, Yemi Alade has drawn the ire of Ghanaian fans over her criticism of Stoneboy’s win of the Best International Act, Africa.

Angry fans have been bombing her instagram page with hateful messages because she berated one of their own (see screengrab below).

Displeased with the results of the award, Yemi Alade first courted trouble when she discredited organizers for awarding the Best International Act, Africa to Ghanaian dancehall act, Stoneboy.

According to her, organizers should ensure “credibility over paddy paddy?” (See tirade below).

She was also angry that African artistes were being humiliated

But her Ghanaian fans would have none of it and have been giving her a hell of a time.

I totally agree with the Ghanaians on this. Whether the ghanaian deserved it or not it shouldn't be in her place to talk like that. She just showed that she is very petty becuz a Nigerian didn't walk away with the award.

That criticism should have come from her fans or others but not her. I know that Nigerian music reigns supreme in Africa but we shouldn't throw it in their faces na.
