@ tox- i think ur re the only one left in this freedom jolly. Well am only waiting 4 baba egun to leacture me how to post with those illustrations so that i ll correct little flaws in his post. Use ems.your-freedom.de at the address use udp not ftp or https cos the later only connects when mtn has so much loop-holes with their network. Dont use wizard again cos the above address ll give u the nearest and fastest server in udp mode. I just instruct my younger bros on phone and he got his working. Note l ll modify this post as soon as i hear from u. |

@toxnaija, bros, no whahala. I dey o! Showsports has been on ever since. If you're not able to watch it for the past one month now that is a very serious issue o! With the onset of the rainy season no doubt KU band signals will definitely be impacted but you should still be able to get most nilesat tps clear on a good day. Since you're on motorised, have you tried tracking up and down? it's possible that rain has pressed down your dish making it to shift a little. Just finetune it upwards and you'll notice an appreciable gain in signal quality. It happens to me too sometimes especially after a heavy rain. Atimes all the signal just dissappears. What I do, I wait for the rain to stop and the sky to clear up then I use my positioner to bring back the signal. Just two light touches on the east or west movement bottons most times and full signal jumps out. Try it and see how it goes. Also, I hope you remembered to bore some small holes on your dish bottom (where the rain water gathers) to allow it to run off during rainfall? Very important o! @foni2k4, You don't need a satfinder software to track DLBC signal. Just make sure you track w3a with the direction I gave fopros on the page 31. After you track it, wait for monday evenings as from 7pm and input the dlbc frequencies I gave you (11001 V, 3210 SR) and you'll have the live transmission. |

Hi guys! How's the bird hunting going? I've been in the wilderness for so long. Time has really not been my friend. I hope I'm forgiven. Anyways, Easter greetings in arrears to everybody. Something happened to me on Easter day. My 1.8 meter dish i used to track Nilesat (with a lot of pain) was toppled by the cyclone that blew thru Abuja that day. Initially, I was fussing about the fact that all the channels I should get were not up and then this. Pls, is there anyone in Abuja that can join me re-track my Nilesat. If so just indicate interest here. I'd be really grateful. @Twinstaiye Greetings. How ya side? @Mr. Gem How now? You didn't let me know if you got back ok. Buzz me soon @Olofofo Is there a distant possibility of me being accepted into the g group. If so, my email is: madukaojimadu@gmail.com. If you need someone to vouch for me, then ask Mr. Moderator. Thanks. |

@ gem, u dont need to be suprise at twins status. That is part of the reason i was clamouring for u guys to join the fta group on facebook. By then u will be amazed. @ oga moderator, it was only the picture of your apartment curtain i saw then, that i know you are hundreds of mile ahead. @ siriusians, are sabc's up and running. @ ola, saw ur missed call. |

For those having issues with low signal strength on nile, even after using the best lnb, tweaking after tweaking and still yet to changes. The first factor in determining how strong your signal will be mostly with PAN dish hasn't being discussed at all and this is the coupling together of the 6 arcs that makes the dish. If the coupling is done professionally then u stand a high chance of getting the best signal, but if it is done in an amateur way and having the best lnb and the best hand for the installation, your signal can never be compared with the the first instance. So, in simple word, GET A PROFESSIONAL TO COUPLE YOUR DISH. |

Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by Dejsam(m): 8:58am On Apr 17, 2009 |
@all, the drop in nilesat signal level is a general issue irrespective of the location u are if u are very observant with ur signal levels.even in the north here there has been a reduction in signal strenght, but it is much more pronounced if u are using low quality lnb like pauxis.but if u are using good one's like fuji, digisat or even strong which is better than pauxis all ur channels will still be very ok without skipping throughout the day and night as well. i think all this is as a result of the rainy season approaching more and more and it will go back normal with time. |

@Pitodenz>> Sir, your passion and level of online tutorials are superb. Yesterday, I was reading your interactions with the 'ontodos' at the FTB forum. My man, you're great! @George_D>> I'm still within the Niger-Delta for now. Surely, I'll try as much as possible to pay courtesy visits to the nairalanders here within the zone. Don't worry, it'll soon be your turn. Just be patient, ok. @twinstaiye>> Oga taiwo, Aaaaaa, h, no sir. My intention was just to be GRATEFUL. And since I came to know you through this forum, I don't think it's bad to use the forum as a tool. At least, you can read the comments of enitan. "oniro lo ma so wipe eleri ohun wa l'orun." Secondly, if what you suggested is right, I know you are up to the status and 'nothing dey happen'. Cheers. @enitan>> Your comments are exact. @maddoxoj>> I'm very sorry for not reaching you back. A small pikin like me has to be forgiven sometimes. I hope you are working on our deal. I just wish to give you this week so that by next week I'll be able to ask you of its developments. Anyhow, I'll call you. Thanks so much. @osef>> Developments in ICT have broken the barriers of getting to cyber cafes before you surf the web. Just go for anyone of the GPRS-enabled phone. Configure it and the globe is at your finger tips. In fact, you're depriving youself if you're not connected to the internet, 24/7. I only go to cafes for downloading or uploading of huge files. |

Dejsam, thanks a million for the enlightenment.I fall under the category of beta with my echolink 3020irplus.regards. GeorgeD, I followed all the guidelines when the dish was installed some years back.I think the problem has to do with the heavy rain wind. It's either the lnb has moved a bit or the dish must have shifted aside because I have tried going up and down but the best I get is 46% which cant stay for long.I will work on it tomorrow, and give a feedback on Tuesday. all, Does anybody have the FA cup schedule for jsc? Pito, I will try the udp but i think it is better to hear from you and configure via the phone.i will try to call you at the weekend. |

Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by GeorgeD1(m): 10:08pm On Apr 17, 2009 |
toxnaija: Most likely it's the dish that got shifted by wind. The LNB doesn't shift that easily in the wind, so it should be the last thing to touch. I advise to try re-aligning the whole dish as it is first before thinking of adjusting the lnb. You might alter the focal lenght if you do and that will spell more trouble for you. Use NSS7 or Sirius 4 (make sure you hit up to 97% signal quality) to confirm your lnb is working perfectly before trying to peak your signal on nilesat. |
