Policemen from Oroworukwo Division in Port
Harcourt have shot dead a suspected armed
robber around Mile Three axis of Diobu in the
Rivers State capital. DAILY POST gathered that the deceased had earlier
been arrested, alongside another suspect, after he
allegedly led members of his gang to rob a
compound on Wechie Street where his mother
leaves, near the Rivers State University of Science
and Technology. However, while he was being taken away by the
police, he pulled a gun and shot at his mother
before one of the policemen fired the shots that
killed him. The woman was immediately rushed to hospital
for treatment, while the body of the suspected
armed robber was taken away by the police.
