Distrust wife of veteran raggae singer, Majek Fashek has revealed that substance abuse and alcoholism was at the root of the lingering crisis that has marred his career.

Rita Fashek who resides in Broklyn, New York has two children with the Rain Maker as Majek Fashek is popularly called.

Until now, the long-suffering wife of the troubled singer has maintained her silence about issues around the singer obviously out of frustration.

She broke her silence to Jebose Boulevard, a weekly affair published Saturdays in Punch Newspaper.

Having heard and read so much about Majek's illhealth as a result of substance abuse, I dare ask: what is the way forward? Is it that his situation is irredeemable? Can't something be done to help this reggae icon?
