Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by kianoe4400(m): 2:31pm On Jun 07, 2017 |
Calebeslove4u: Dude its likely your ups will soon pack up....dat sound means the transformer inside is weak, or getting bad..hence if u touch the heat sink inside, it will b terribly hot and soon the ic will start to burn one by one...advice get another ups...just had a similar experience |

Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by Feshizzy(m): 12:45am On Jun 09, 2017 |
Calebeslove4u: To me the sound is normal, It means the transformer is at work, But if you have been using it awhile and the sound don change, My advise is to get another ups, And probably install a dc fan inside it to cool am, Transformer get hot during operation, And some ups are not properly vented or where you keep am breeze no dey blow am well. This is why it is also advised to add a dc fan to it, Make e dey help am cool down Cheers! |
Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by Feshizzy(m): 12:50am On Jun 09, 2017 |

Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by teamsynergy: 1:34pm On Jun 09, 2017 |
Calebeslove4u:for some reasons, ups and some inverters heats up and make loud sound when the touch is plugged in. always avoid this, try add a fan to the ups as well. get a multimeter to read the output voltage to be sure its not above normal . |

kianoe4400: ok, i have this APC 650 UPS (390W), can i connect a load of 300w to it? (say 32inch tv,bulbs,and fan)
|
Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by Feshizzy(m): 2:52pm On Jun 09, 2017 |
Calebeslove4u: You can give it a try and tell us, If it works, good for you, If it doesn't, the ups would trip off, There are sometimes I forget to turn off my electric kettle before switching on my bluegate 1.5kva ups, What happens is that it trips off! All I do is switch of the kettle and off and on the ups! |

Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by topsonjto(m): 8:24pm On Jun 11, 2017 |
pato405: responding to how to increase the charging current of the UPS. To achieve ds, a lot of components will need replacement like the transformer, the mosfet, resistors, capacitors e.t.c...so achieving ds is almost impossible. The chances of it been possible is <20% for the circuitry config of the UPS |

am tired of the 3hours on 21hours off, since 2days now we are in total blackout.....thank God for my solar phone charger which i have been using to charge phone and other gadgets..but the charger is a bit slow though, and am thinking if I can connect a 12 volt 1ah car charger to it....so here's the plan ...... 2x 5.2 volt 200ma solar phone charger 1 12volt 1ah car charger cigarette lighter 2 5.2volt solar phone charger to be connected in series to make it 10.4 volt then connect the cigarette lighter to the solar phone charger, follow by the car charger..... pls gurus in tha house will it work? |
Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by Feshizzy(m): 9:57am On Jun 13, 2017 |
officialfestus: Check the voltage tolerance/variable for the charger . I'm aware of most 12v system, Has tolerance from 10.5 to 14.5v And ac current from 180 - 265v So my advise is to check it tolerance first for each appliance, I have power share two 12v dc fan to a 24v supply, To my understanding, If your charger meet the acceptable voltage range then it should work fine, Cheers! |

Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by laposta: 4:26pm On Jun 13, 2017 |
officialfestus: You will end up getting 10.4v, 200ma from the two panels. I will argue that you're better off using the two panels in parallel and charging your battery with it steady. That way you will get 5.2v, 400ma which MAY just end up charging your battery faster than a 10.4v 200ma system. Be open to trying both and sticking with what works better. Cheers |
