when it's not attached to the battery it does not nothing.
when it's connected to the battery but not switched on, the green light goes on but the meter does not register any voltage change.
when it is switeched on the green light turns to red, the small fan at the back starts and the meter measures 12v .
after about 3 seconds, the fan stops and the red light turns to green.
the battery charger has a turning nob in front with which the charging voltage can be changed from 40ah, 40- 80ah and > 120 ah.

try it on another battery.
or measure the output voltage with meter.

i got another transformerless smart charger and tried it on the battery and got the same result. obviously it's a battery problem. will be changing it soon.

my apologies, i have been very busy trying to survive and manage through the Christmas period.
i just bought two 150Ah inverter battery from a bank for 30k ; they were replacing their stack of ATM batteries. will acquire more in January and need to learn how to build an inverter myself. the local one i was using caught fire and i don't trust buying another one.

i seem to have a problem with my suder battery charger. when i connect it to the battery the red light turns on and the fan starts up indicating it is charging.however, after 3 to 5 seconds it trips off, the light turns to green and the fan stops. when i try out the battery it's not charged.
Any solution?

Hello, if you don't have a budget for mppt cc, simply go for 12v 130/150w solar panels and a 12v 20-30a pwm charge controller ... I have 12v 20a pwm cc (5k) , high quality 150w mono panels (30-35k). Cheers !

If you are very sure that your charge controller is 12/24v, then your 200W 24V panel will work.

Note: It will work because most 12/24v charge controllers have an automatic selector that changes the output of the controller to the battery voltage measured by it at the terminals. That is, the ouput of the controller automatically change to the voltage of the battery connected to it. However, few controllers will have a manual switch to choose desired voltage. Check the body of the charge controller to see if there a switch like that

Warning!!! if your charge controller is a 12V charge controller, you will damage it if you connect a 24V solar panel to its input.

u need minimum 600watts panel but if don't deeply discharge ur battery 520watts is ok
