abumeinben: The problem you are having is straight forward... You had a 150ah battery which you made use of overtime and it depreciated...you bought a new 150ah battery and banked it...the older one was putting strain on the newer one! IT HAPPENED AGAIN!!  I heard the explosion sound (not the bomb type oo  ) and when I dashed to the battery site I found the lid is out just like the last time. Pictures are attached. Should I be worried?

ceejay80s:It came off too. I think there's gas build up when the battery is charging and when it becomes too much it has to force it's way out. |

zekepio: It's simply abnormal charging .. Check system with a volt meter and ensure its not overcharging by monitoring it's charge algorithm vis-a-vis voltages to avoid rupturing your new set of batteries ! Cheer's 3 Likes |

A friend of mine just bought the luminous delite package wit 900va inverter and 150ah tubular battery. My questions are 1 Instead of connecting the output to the distribution board, can I just plug in an extension as its only for tv and decoder use and sometimes a fan 2 can i plug the input to a 1.5kva AVR which is then plugged to the wall socket for charging/mains use 3 the display is on and showing the max time/battery charge state even when the inverter is off, would that continue to draw significant power from the battery or is there a way to permanently put of the display. Thanks |
