Finished testing the battery and its ok, I bought a 10watts fan from the battery seller yesterday and used it to test on how long the 42ah battery will power it and I wasn't disappointed ,after I have fully charged the battery, I disconnected all other batteries from my ups and connected the recently bought 12v 42ah battery to the ups and powered the 10watts fan from 6pm yesterday the fan was still on till 6am this morning , sincerely, the fan was awesome, e just dey blow cold breeze for my body as light no dey till dis morning, I am now fully satisfied with both battery and fan, I will connect the 42ah battery with my other 76ah battery in parallel connection

The rate at which the price of this 20amps charger @ chidisam store at labinjo is getting costly almost every week is alarming. I bought 1 on 6th of February @ 8k,to my surprise d guy said it is 9k last today, I have no other options than to buy it. Am thinking of looking for d products elsewhere after today.

Pls how long does this your setup of 2 12v 200amp battery last? I.e what things do you use it to power? and is that a 650va UPS you use with it?

Lol... Once you get to 350ah, I will go as high 750ah or 800ah. .

Thank you ceejay80s for bringing this inverter setup to my mind. No light since 5pm and my inverter has been at work Powering my 32inch JVC Full HD Led TV, 18" standing fan, Qsat+ Strong decoder, Spectranet CPE, Laptop and phones.

I don't have to rush downstairs to put on the get or worry about going to turn it off later.

Moving up to solar isn't a bad idea, but dis raining season go spoil show by always hiding the sun rays, since i've gotten the major items, all i need now is the solar panel and charge controller.
Let me think about it.........

em sure it is worth the investment. You dey use style take render phcn almost useless. If u are here in sokoto. It is a whole different ball game.

U can now use ur 12v smart charger as a 24v charger see photo below, a 1.2kva 12v ups with two 12v batteries connected in sries can be charged with the 12v charger

you can't charge two 12V batteries connected in series with a 12V charger. You can only do that if they are connected in parallel

hi ceejays.being following this thread for a while.a quick question.i have a APC 1500 smart UPS but the battery are dead.(it uses two 12V-18AH batterys)i was wondering if it was possible to replace the battery with 12v 100AH battery and use the UPS as an inverter.can this work?

How many batteries does it use?
If its one battery, then its ok but if its 2, u will spend more money to get what u want

If its a 24v ups, then u need to get (2) 200ah battery and connect in series, but if its a 12v battery, then u only need (1) 200ah battery,
Another thing is u will still need to buy a smart charger, cod the charging circuits won't be able to charge 200ah like the smart charger

It's an Apc 1500 smart ups. Do you mean that the ups can't charge the battery directly and I have to get a smart charger to charge it? Will the smart charger be connected to the ups? The battery is 12v 18ah

Its a 24v ups, that's why I said u will spend more money if its a 24v ups, cos u will definitely buy 2 batteries and connect in series and u will also need a 24v smart charger cos it will take days of full 24hr light for ur battery to be fully charged with the ups alone

24v smart charger is scares , u can try alaba market, the guy at mushin only sells 12v charger, but he has a 12v /24v inveter
Check page 1,2 and 3 for their number

Since monday no light, I hv not charged my battery, but I sleep with my 10w fan,listen to radio or sometimes watch movies, thank God for this connection, all those girls wet dey do shakara for my compound dey beg to charge phone for my place, still thinking of solar energy

yea 100 watt is enough.The mono is latest technology.It peaks at 19.45volts while poly is old technology and peaks @ 16.4volts. and you would need a charge controller. are you in lagos?

Bros, please can you tell us how to differentiate between poly and mono solar panels. Because those boys at Alaba market are not smiling ooo. They can sell poly as mono for you if they know that you are a novice.
