stating the refusal of president Buhari to accept the resignation letter of the National Securtity Adviser Col Sambo Dasuki owing to alledged corrupt practices amounting to $50 billion. It was reported that the reason PMB refused Sambo's resignation was for him (Sambo Dasuki) make proper account of his stewardship as a National Security Adviser under GEJ administration. In other words, the NSA will not be able to resign his post until he set the books straight.
In normal administrative procedure that I know of, non acceptance of resignation by employers from their employees means that the employee must be highly valuable to the employer. Because of he/she's valuability to the company or organization, finding a suitable replacement may be difficult, hence their refusal to accept such resignations. A tactics made to buy time pending when a suitable replacement is found.
Juxtaposing this with the news surrounging PMB and the NSA does not make any sence. First, the non acceptance of the resignation of the NSA was based on alledged corrupt practices. When has that become a nom in administrative investigations? When an individual was found to have engaged in corrupt practices, what follows next is suspention or outright sack of that individual for smooth investigation to take place. For thorough investigation, the individual has to step aside for independent unbayals investigations throught audits of records and so on. How can an individual be ask to stay put to put his books in order in alledged acts of corruption amounting to $50 billion? Won't the individual use that opportunity to cover his tracks? Something is cooking here.
