All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that President Muhammadu Buhari has given governance in the country the required human face through recent steps taken.

The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Lai Muhammed ,who made the observation yesterday at a media interaction in Lagos described the bail out for all the 36 state governments as a creative ingenuity of a government that gives priority to the welfare of the citizenry.”

According to him, Buhari was aware, through experience that, taking the welfare of the people for granted could heat up the polity and cause national distability of an unimaginable dimension. He pointed out that Buhari was aware of the constitutional provision that stated that people’s welfare was government responsibility.

“This is caring government that realises the importance of its citizens’ well being.”

This government has realised how scandalous and irresponsible it is not to pay workers as at when due,” Muhammed stated.
While arguing that the APC government under President is working, the party’s spokesman however regretted that, “people seem to focus too much on the perceived slowness of the President in putting his cabinet in place to the detriment of the issue of whether the government has settled down for work!”

Muhammed, who assured that the President would soon embark on appointment of key government functionaries including his cabinet, stated emphatically that, “Buhari is moving forward in his three cardinal programmes of economy, fighting insecurity and curbing corruption.”

Muhammed therefore urged Nigerians to be a bit more patient and support Buhari in his quest to bring dividends of democracy to the citizenry, expressing confidence that Buhari would succeed in sanitizing the already rotten national polity.
