I don't know why anyone will want to make a meal out of this. Personally I will not use the word sack as it would connote some sort of malady. It is the normal change expected of a new government particularly one of different political ideology.

Ambassadorial appointments are well known worldwide to be a safe 'reward system' for the party faithfuls and for the Buhari led APC government this is critical in keeping the loyalists happy but away from the more sensitive and critical national appointments such as ministers and heads of commissions and agencies.

If you give your party trouble and embarassment or your appeal is waning but they can't afford to lose you, then you go on exile....sorry to an ambassadorial posting.

There's no success without an improvement,
a marginal increase is an improvement,
to bring about a marginal increase, there must be a change in attitude,
you must re-order your priorities, the most important things must come first on the queue,
leave no room for gossip, they are time wasters,
fill up every available time with activities that will make you better.
Begin each day hopefully,
face each day confidently,
expect the best always,
but when the expected doesn't come your way,
don't be disappointed, it's only an increase in your work load,
you still have to go for what was first desired while desiring for more.

How do you mean "provided for by the law"?
What law OBLIGES a country to have journalists practise in a particular way or even exist at all?

FOI?
Isn't this what the opposition clamored for in the just past administration.

FOI?
Isn't this what the opposition clamored for in the just past administration.

FOI is not an enabling law for journalists.
It is an enabling law for GREATER transparency on government business at all levels- LGA, state and federal- that can be used by any of us instead of playing 200 million mumus.

BTW, how do you mean "opposition clamoured for"? Please check the history of how the FOI was passed and the fact that Fashola, Ajimobi and your so called then-opposition at federal but RULING party at their state levels REJECTED its application in a rather absurd manner.

Hope you see the difference!

$90m loan spending: FOI Act not applicable to Lagos •Fashola tells court

Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State has told a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos that he intended to file a preliminary objection challenging the suit by a civil society group, seeking to compel him to release information relating to how government spent the $90 million loan obtained for improving public schools in the state.

The state Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Ade Ipaye, at the resumed hearing in the matter before Justice Saliu Saidu, hinted of the government’s intention to challenge the suit, in addition to a counter-affidavit he earlier filed in opposition to the suit.

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) instituted the suit against Fashola and Ipaye, and prayed the court to compel the governor to disclose how the loan allegedly obtained from the World Bank for education in the state was spent.

SERAP had argued that it resorted to suing the governor and the Attorney-General after the government refused to honour its letter dated December 1, 2013, requesting for the information brought in pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act 2011.

But Ipaye had, in a counter-affidavit, opposed the suit, arguing that the FoI Act was not applicable to Lagos State, because the law was a federal legislation.

A welcomed development, all these politicians know nothing about being an ambassador.

The only thing they know about is enriching themselves and not having the interest of Nigeria @ hand.

Good for them, PMB in as much as u re very slow please replace them with patriotic Nigerians Asap. Let it not be treated the same way u are handling the ministerial appointment.

I hope recalling them back I not in anyway connected to the manner in which ur family were treated in Saudi Arabia. Thus, recalling all of them, so that it will not look like witch hunting.

Anyways, PMB, just do what u ve to do to make sure that this country is moving up, na my own be that.

Happy sunday to you all.

They are backed by freedom of the press as enshrined in the Nigerian constitution and it seems there is no law against misinformation. The Nigerian media fans the embers of disunity in every aspect of our lives. I can tell you that the various issues that happened in Rivers state, apart from the fact that people are not happy Amaechi worked against GEJ, were escalated by the media. Especially that station called Nigerian Info with that call in program. That is just a tiny tip of the iceberg what the Nigerian media is doing to us as a country. Professionalism has long been thrown to the dogs and all of a sudden you find mainstream media competing for space with the likes of Linda Ikeji and Stella Dimokokorkus and thereby spewing all forms of junks that can set fire in the country.

I hate the media here more than BH. Nigeria is one of the very few countries where casualty figures differ in all news outlets. 10 media houses 10 different casualty figures. Tufia, even truckpushers can do better!

Human patience has limitation we don't pray that the change in question will take an equal time that it took Mr. President to become our President. Act now and shame the devil.
It is good for one to think before one act rather than to act before one thinks.

Yes human patience has its limitation, no doubt, but there's a fine line confusing patience with impatience. What many Nigerians are doing now is just being impatient. This government is not even up to 50 days in office, and many have already started voicing their concern.

In time, the required change will come.

You don't seem to get the point. . . The game of politics is a game of wits. One can study a vulnerability, find its loop holes and then use it to their advantage, whilst exploiting the oppositions frailties. These things happen. I am not apportioning blames, just trying to point out what politicians do.

There are definitely laws and punishment for misinformation. It is a different thing that people do not use them to seek relief.

- defamation.
- slander
- libel

It is however NOT a game of ILLEGALITIES except in a country of pseudo-primates like us who have refused to evolve and prefer to remain LAWLESS collectively living in our JUNGLE.

Looking at the way Nigerians are being vandalized and brutalized in foreign countries, killed unjustly in many instances, you would wonder why we still need these Ambassadors........... since they are just there for their own business and selfishness!

IMO, They are a waste of money as the Nigerian in Diaspora does not benefit naything from their presence in those counties.

THEY ARE A WASTE OF FUNDS! Period!!

Let us save the money and use it to equip our primary school Classrooms. undecided undecided
