I guess you got it wrong by buying into the propaganda of previous remittance. NLNG has been on 10 years tax holiday which expired in 2014. So there was no previous remittance on tax from NLNG up until this 2015. You can search for the detail interview on ChannelsTV.
Dividend is paid to the stake holders ( Shell, Agip, Total and NNPC) in NLNG.

In reaction to the above, the Presidency in a statement through the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said the PDP claim was false and ridiculous.

I dont know what this man sought to achieve wit this statement of his - i see a vain attempt to giv ex-presido Jonathan credit when none was due. Under Jonathan no one ever heard that such revenue accrued to the Federation and am sure if Jonathan were to be in power this $1.6bn wud hav gone unheard of!!

NLNG has been on 10 years tax holiday which expired in 2014.Technically there hasn't been any tax prior to that time.Its better we read wide and not just narrow o minds to the propaganda everywhere.

This newspaper deserves a Nobel for misrepresenting what Babs said. He made it clear that, as a company regulated under CAMA, NLNG's tax for the 2014 operations wasn't due until June 2015 and so, in paying in June, NLNG hadn't willfully denied GEJ of revenue. This is hardly what the headline here says.

BTW the paper fails to report that GEJ pressured NLNG to pay the tax and its dividend ahead of May 29 but this pressure was rebuffed by patriots within NLNG who knew just how quickly the money would disappear into thin air as all the other NLNG payments in the last decade+ had disappeared under Pindipi.
