Around were mobile police men, men of the state civil guard with some journalists around. It was later followed by demolition of shops.

Around the Onitsha road axis traders were chased away from engaging in commercial activities. These actions were coming from a governor who is yet to pay workers their salaries long after some funds were released by the President and yet he wouldn't allow them to make some legitimate money to survive.

Need I say he hasn't paid workers of his 'youth must work' program up to 1 year arrears of salary.

The question is not whether he destroy shops or not, the question is - is he turning those places to his personal properties or to promote infrastructural development? The problem of we Nigerians is that we like good thing, but we are not ready to pay the price.
