Winning a treble is very rare in football. In the modern era of the English Premier League it has only been done by one club and once and that is Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United in 1999. Liverpool though also did it in 2001 but it was the lesser UEFA Cup and not Champions. Barcelona have done it again and in style. How can one better an attack that boasts the world beats in Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Neymar Jr, Andreas Iniesta, Ivan Rakitic? It is he most difficult task trying to strengthen such a squad.

One can only be surprised that Barcelona have splashed £24.4 million on 28 years old Arda Turan from Athletico Madrid. Turan played 32 games and scored a mere two goals and assisted four as an attacking midfielder. His stat is so very poor and for £24.4 million if he doesn't start in the first Xl it will he a waste to keep such an expensive signing on the bench. It is worse to know that Turan cannot start for Barcelona for now till January 2016 when the ban in the club would have been served. By then Turan will be 29 years. How could one spend £24.4 million on a player who doesn't have resale value?

With the election for Barcelona Football Club coming up on July 18, 2015 it is clear the signing of Turan was politically motivated rather than a sporting decision. Why did President Josep Bartomeu rush to buy Turan two weeks to the elections? What if he wasn't re-elected? Barcelona will then lose £3.4 million if the next President decides cancels the transfer of Turan and sends him to Athletico. How can a business institution lose as much as £3.4 million in two weeks? It clearly shows Bartomeu signed Turan to increase his chances for re-election. There is no denying such fact. Only time will tell if Turan turns out to flop. Arda turan a waste of money? Not at all...iniesta is no more d iniesta we know 3-4 seasons ago...he is aging, he definitely need a replacement or better still a back up. As Rakitic filled Xavi's shoe suprising, surely arda will back up iniesta very well....he's got everytin u want from a central midfielder...It's a move that will be profitable to Barcelona
