I would like to ask some few questions based on the new trend in town MERIT, that's on the lips of everyone's mouth based on Buhari's appointment.
Buhari appointed some new service chiefs and according to him it was based on merit.
Everybody is ok with it(most of these people are ok because a service chief was picked from there region) except a particular region the south east. My questions are as follows;
(1) Is it that in the entire southeast no igbo man is good enough to become a service cheif or there is another side to the story?
(2) Nigeria practices what is called federal character, how come it's only when no igbo man was picked that the whole Nigeria from other region now remembered merit exists.
(3) How come the merit now only exists in the military because no igbo man was picked yet in our educational system the unity schools, all Nigerians accept a situation where a child from a tribe that scores 90 is not given admission but one from another tribe is given admission.
(4) If 4 service Chiefs were picked by Gej and the remaining 2 from other regions would the reaction have been the same?
Would Nigerians be shouting merit?
Do to others as you want them to do unto you. Nobody knows tomorrow.
