Zakat-ul-Fitr , is a Sadaqah(charity) which is given
by Muslims to the poor, towards the end of the
month of Ramadhan.
Zakat-ul-Fitr is obligatory on every Muslim. Be it a
female, or a male, be it a free Muslim or a slave, be it
a young Muslim or an old one; every Muslim has to pay
Zakat-ul-Fitr.
“Ibn Abbas (RA) narrated: Allaah’s Messenger
(Peace be upon Him) obligated Zakat-ul-
Fitr for the one who fasts as a means of purifying
him from vain talk and immoral deeds, and as a means of feeding the poor. Whoever gives it before
the ( Eid ) prayer will have it
counted as an accepted Sadaqah , and whoever
gives it after the prayer will have it counted as a
charity among charities.” (Hadith No. 1609, Book of
Zakat, Sunan Abu Dawud, Vol. 2). APPROXIMATE MONETARY VALUE OF SOME FOODS

3 DARIKA = 4 MUDUNABIYI
4 MUDUNABIYI = 1 PERSON
MAIZE N70 × 3 = N210
BEANS N150 × 3 = N450 GARRI N70 × 3 = N210 RICE N160 × 3 = N480
MILLET N70 × 3 = N210
NB : Zakat-ul-Fitr should be offered before Eid-l-
Fitr !!!

@op you need to be very detailed as to the rules and laws guiding this act of worship ,you should know that a youth whom still loves and feed by his parents isn't to give zakatul-fitri but his parents carry the burden to do that on his behalf and the poor who can't afford it are not to give zakat to fitri as they are the main essence of the zakat , You know also the individuals that can't afford it are not to give it, as they are incapable of giving it hence they can accept zakat fitri from others, as Allah is the all knowing and Allah knows best.
May the Blessing and mercy of Allah be upon us in these last days of Ramadan . Amin!
