Event Coordinator for Multinational Event Centre- Owerri, Nigeria
Our Client, a Multinational Event Centre in Owerri, Imo State Nigeria, is in need of an Event Coordinator

Responsibilities:

Shall be responsible for the Event Centre's Business Development, Marketing and Customer Relations.

Liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, and suppliers, for effective coordination of events.
Communicating with the target markets (Corporate Organizations, Churches & Individuals, and managing customer relationship.
Sourcing and securing new business relationships for the Centre, and meeting sales and revenue targets set by the Centre.
Planning, organising and engaging all stakeholders pre, on and post event.
Creating, planning, organising and staging profit making own-events in collaboration with sponsors, for the Centre.
Conducting market research such as customer feedback questionnaires
Maintaining and updating customer databases, sending out seasonal promotions and mailers to customers and prospects.
Contributing to, and developing, marketing plans and strategies
Managing website and online blog, e-newsletters for the business.
Effectively distributing marketing materials, flyers, Brochures and Proposals
Monitoring competitor activities in addition, spotting and reporting new industry trends to the management.
Supervising other employees such as the hall attendants, decorators, cleaners, contractors and food and beverage team
Submitting weekly call reports, security alerts, government regulations and leads to Managing Director
And all other duties necessary for the growth of the business

Person Specification:

• First Degree (At least 2nd Class Lower)or HND (Upper Credit) in a relevant discipline in Marketing, Business Administration or other Social Sciences
• At least 2 – 5 years work experience in a similar position
• Strong knowledge of the industry and / or market activities within the Event Management industry within Owerri - South Eastern Area will be an added advantage.
• Be highly creative, IT-savvy & well experienced in the use of the Internet and Social Media/Blogging as effective marketing & advertising tools.
• Have entrepreneur mindset with sound business acumen.
• Have friendly caring "Yes I can" attitude
• Show verifiable track records of performance and target delivery in previous jobs
• Superior Customer Service skills

Remuneration is competitive and above industry rate.
