I thought I was happy, then I let go of self, and He showed me pure Joy
I thought I knew contentment until He told me, I will meet all your needs, And He did.
I thought I was at peace,
Then He showed me in Him and only Him do I have rest..
I thought I know Him, seeking Him on the surface, But He called me to dig down deep. Now HE IS MY EVERYTHING
I thought everyone "MUST" respect me,
then I realized those that did not believe in Jesus did not respect Him.
I thought I was humble,
Until He showed me my pride And humbled me.
I thought I knew love,
Until He lifted me up when I was broken
And said " Child I love you" He engulfed me in His love, and never let me go.
I thought I knew scarifice,
That "I" had sacrificed,
Until I realized the greatness of
His.
The worst person you can lie to
is yourself,
In my lies, I'm so glad He showed
