The Inspector General Of Police Solomon Arase has warned his officers attached to politicians and other senior citizens in the country to stop performing the function of a domestic staff to them.
Arase Stated this in Jos the Plateau State capital while on a Maiden visit. According to him “you are not domestic staff to politicians and other senior citizens of Nigeria where you have been posted to work.
Stop carrying their bags for them and don’t do any domestic work for them. If they want house helps they should go and employ one. The uniform of the Nigeria Police must be respected. If any Police officer is caught bridging this rule will be penalise”, Arase said.
The Police boss who brought good tidings to his lieutenants in Plateau State said he is most passionate with the plight of his junior officers ranging from the Rank & File to Inspectors, said measures has been put in place to ensure a robust welfare package and retirement benefit, thereby encouraging them not to be corrupt as their future is already secured.
“The President is also passionate about your welfare and is determined to give you all it takes to enable you carry out your duties effectively”, he said.
He however encourage them to step up efforts towards ensuring that crimes in the state is reduced to the barest.
