Veteran Actress Joke Silver's mum, Dr Marienne Abimbola Silva has died. She died peacefully yesterday morning July 19th. She was 89 years old. Dr Silva was the third female doctor in Nigeria but the first Nigerian female to bag a medical degree. She became an OON (Officer of the Order of the Niger) in 1979.
