My kid sister(17yrs) old seems to be very fond of my best friend and always seeking for my permission to go and visit him.
Just this evening, my firend confided in me that he really loves my lil sis and wants to date her. Deep inside, I don't feel comfortable with the idea but I fear that they may go behind me if I refuse to give consent.
Pls what's your take on this?

It usually doesn't end well so I'd advice her against it.

The fact is that they will most likely end up not marrying , meaning that they will most likely break up at some point. When that happens there is no way you won't be caught in between the two of them. How will you feel if you know your friend is at fault and he has treated ur sister badly? The friendship can't remain the same. The same thing will happen if it was ur sister who jilted or broke ur friend's heart.

Generally I try to see my friends' sisters as my own blood sisters. Getting into those type of relationships complicates matters. At the end of d day sha, you can't stop ur sister from dating whoever she wants to date; afterall its her life.

It's just as awkward the other way around. My bro dated my bf. I wouldn't advise it, but that's just IMO.
