Since Femi Aribisala thinks the path to National Unity is by apologies, should my Yoruba brothers and Sisters demand apologies for the following?: the betrayal of Awolowo by Zik in the Independence Elections, the Murder of Samuel Ladoke Akintola, the Murder of Adekunle Fajuyi, the scores of Yoruba sons who died during the civil war (a war their region had no causative part in) in both sides of the line, Fathers and Children killed in Ibadan during the January 1966 coup, the homes of people ransacked in Ondo by soldiers, as an addition the death of Aare M.K.O. Abiola, and so on............. National Unity requires more than words, it requires reinforcing actions, two-way reinforcing faith and interpersonal reinforcing trust |
