Pls my nairalanders, my mum said 25000 naira should be Enough for me monthly,i told her it's not okay because considering the things I would be spending the money on. Though, she do send me food stuffs every two months. Pls pals what can I do? I feel like committing suicide. Am fed up. In which school will that be enough? Not in my school, I swear!!!

It depends on the way u were brought up, 25k shud be more than enough for u if u're brought up in a humble way, I can't say otherwise. I want u to knw that about 90% of students in nigerian universities live below 25k per month as allowance. I'm an example, I spend btw 10 to 15k in skul every month wich includes transportation(cos I'm living offcampus),food(twice or once daily and I don't cook) ,photocopies,printing,miscellaneous payments etc. I'm a student of a federal university.

Even If You're being given 100k,its still Won't be Enough, I think 25K is Fairly ok For You.it's Just boils down to Management,How Reckless/Frugal do you spend the money...You're Old enough to raise something in the form of a small biz @ least to assist.and stop tasking your parent.....

@most i get 7K in a month... Including Feeding and Transport....This july i was sent 2K twice(4k)...wats d big deal... just manage...
