my point is that....you can only judge Christianity by what it espouses not the actions of followers who have never been perfect. If a priest abuses a child does it means christianity endorses pedophilia??

The life of Christ is a standard for anyone who calls himself a christian. How one achieves that is totally up to him. His actions are only a reflection of his success or failure.
