Wheelchair-bound Barbara Owens was allegedly attacked with a baseball bat while her brother was bludgeoned to death in front of her

A woman threatened to cook a dead man's body and threatened to feed it to his disabled sister, a court heard.

Jennifer Mustachia allegedly tortured wheelchair-bound Barbara Owens while her accomplice battered her disabled brother to death, the New York Daily News reported.

Ms Owens, who is near death with Lou Gehrig’s disease, described the horrific home invasion during a pretrial hearing in Las Vegas, the Review-Journal reported.

Mustachia, 33, 29-year-old Jamie Zuniga, and a third accomplice allegedly arrived at the house the siblings shared at 10pm on March 23.

Mustachia, who was once a friend of Ms Owens, allegedly shouted: "Come out here and see these guys kill your brother" as they attacked the man.

Zuniga is accused of bludgeoning brother Edward Turner, 47, using a variety of weapons, including a crowbar.

Mustachia reportedly met Ms Owens in a hospital in 2013 when she was first diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease.

She began visiting the siblings home but was banned by Mr Turner when she began to steal from them and asking for pills, authorities said.


Mustachia returned on the night of the attack, assaulting Ms Owens with baseball bat and threatening her with knives while Zuniga throttled her frail brother, the victim testified.

Zuniga is also accused of licking blood off his hands before saying: I love doing this s**t."

After the horrific attack, Mustachia stayed and made herself at home, cooking hamburger and eating chocolate chip cookies while she hunted valuables, Owens testified.
She eventually dozed off on a bed after slashing the wires and tires on Owens’ wheelchair, authorities said.

Even with the badly damaged chair, Owens managed to slip out of the house and call for help from a nearby convenience store while her tormenter slept.

Police found Turner dead on the floor when they arrived.

Mustachia was still asleep and was quickly taken into custody.

She and Zuniga face a long list of charges, including murder and kidnapping.
