THE BIBLICAL ENLIGHTENMENT ON "RIGHTEOUSNESS"
We are not saved by the works of righteousness which we have done:
Titus 3:5, “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,”

But we are saved for works of righteousness in Christ by His grace:
1 John 3:7, “Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.”

Those preachers are churches that teach that when you saved, you are covered by Jesus’ righteousness and your righteous living does not matter are misguided end time anti-Bible teachers. Let no one deceive you with permissive teachings, we are not saved by our works of righteousness but not for unrighteous living. When you are genuinely saved, you start to live righteous life by God’s grace. You must be righteous just as He is righteous, just by His grace. Heaven is meant for the righteous not unrighteous people.

“Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.” 1 John 3:7.

Thee false teachers about righteousness claim they are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Then if you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, sin must be under you not over you.

Romans 6:12, "Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. 13 And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace."

Beware of permissive false preachers!
