Context:
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (COM), and under direct supervision of the Project Officer (Psychosocial), the successful candidate will provide specialize assistance in the coordination, implementation and monitoring of Psychosocial Support and Community Mobilization for Conflict-Induced Displaced Populations in North East of Nigeria. More particularly, h/she will be responsible for the following duties:
Core Functions/Responsibilities:
a) Assist the psychosocial project officer in the overall management of the project, including planning, coordination, reporting, logistics support, and implementation of the project activities.
b) Assist the project officer in maintaining a data collection, analysis mechanisms, and share relevant information mainly from records and reports and prepares periodic and ad-hoc reports on program and project activities.
c) Technical oversight of the teams, including supervision and coordination sessions with each team.
d) Provision of direct counseling support, either directly or as in service supervision for the teams.
e) Facilitate weekly coordination meetings with all team leaders.
f) Liaise with relevant governmental, non-governmental (NGOs), international organizations as well as other relevant stakeholders including Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Health and Academic institutions.
g) Coordinate and exchange information with national institutional, professional and academic counterparts.
h) Provide technical oversight on the activities of the psychosocial mobile teams and local NGOs supported by the program.
i) Monitor project activities including those implemented by the psychosocial mobile teams by
