Tragedy struck in Ibadan when a man identified as Ahmed Olanrewaju had a domestic dispute with his wife, the man was said to have hits his wife with sledge hammer on the head which made the wife fell to the ground unconscious.

The husband thinking he had beaten his wife to dead, mounted the ceiling of the family house and hanged himself with a rope to his neck and died at the scene.

Neighbours were said to have rushed the wife to the hospital where she was revived and is responding to treatment according to a source.

Police detectives visited the scene, recovered the man’s corpse and deposited at the mortuary for autopsy.
