Worried by the negative reports about Aladja Community occasioned by the recent cholera outbreak, Double Chief Wilson Ejeben has debunked Channel Television News which stated that Aladja river is the only source of drinking water to the people of the Community in Udu Local Government Areas of Delta State, Channels reported that since the Aladja river is the only source of drinkable water to the people is the cause of the recent cholera outbreak in Aladja Community, while debunking the said news the Isio of Udu Kingdom and the Bobaselu of Ugbo Kingdom stated unequivocally that the said story is not true because the Wilson Ejeben Foundation some years ago donated to Aladja Community four water borehole projects situated at Ubadode Street, Oviri Street, Eghurie Street and Aladja Primary School which was why the various samples of water taken from Aladja Community by the Delta State Ministry of Health to Lagos for testing proved negative when the news of the cholera outbreak broke out. He maintained that the aforementioned water projects are still functional till date. The MD of Wiltro Oil Nigeria Limited advised the people of Aladja not to drink untreated water, build emergency sanitation facilities at least 30 meters from any water source, Always wash their hand properly after using the toilet, to always wash hand properly before cooking ect so as to avert future cholera outbreak. While thanking the Governor of Delta State Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for providing some mono pumps to Aladja Community, Double Chief Ejeben called on the people of Aladja to always imbibe maintenance culture so as to encourage individuals and organizations to embark on several projects in the Community, speaking further, the CEO of Wilson Ejeben Foundation thanked the Udu Local Government Chairman Chief Hon. Solomon Kpomah for taking urgent steps towards arresting the cholera outbreak, he equally appealed to the Delta State Government to upgrade the Aladja Health Care Centre.
