Don't download the vcom driver and the flash tool on that site, it will not work because they are outdated . Download superuser and Twrp.

yes please. Once you make the mistake of turning on the phone without booting into recovery, you have to start the whole process again from scratch

I now understand y I failed to root. I find it hard to boot into recovery at first try. Whenever I finally got it into recovery, it will first show "no command", then I have to press again to get it into recovery .

once you flash the twrp recovery, and disconnect your phone from computer, just hold down the volume up key, then press down the power key too meaning that at this point, you will be pressing down both volume up and power key together. Hold down until you see the tecno logo then release. You will see the twrp icon in recovery. This will happen as long as you don't turn on your phone after flashing twrp

I did just that and now I've successfully rooted it. Any better app to enjoy ?

successful....... Now rooted. to free urself from poor multitasking just download xbooster apps pro or ram manager pro and make some settings dere. for people dat complaining dat dere phone lag after rooting just go to ur ram manage pro and activate free more ram. U will be free for life. I hope this help becos now am enjoying my c8 to d fullest

After Updating my C.8 it stopped charging to 100% it get stocked on 86% which is kinda disturbing. What is the cause n can it be fixed. But from the view of things is can be a Bug from the new update. Because people who haven't updated theirs are not having this Issues.
Any one who can get in touch with Tecno should tel the to fix the bug with a new update

Charge it with a charger that has higher current (2A). It'll get it back to 100%.

Even 2A no dey reach 100% sometimes after overnight charging..
Even the 14% you are looking for na wash..
With 86% it like having the 100% so I don't disturb my self at alll
