Men of the Nigerian Armed Forces have arrested a suspected fuel supplier to the Boko Haram, identified as Mai Mustapha,.

Also nabbed is one Madu, who is believed to coordinate food procurement for the terror sect.
Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman, said in a statement on Thursday that the two were arrested by troops at Jehu near Jakana.

He said Madu was involved in coordinating purchase of food items for the insurgents from the neighbouring villages. Usman added that the troops also killed eight terrorists in an encounter at Dumbuluwa village near Fika in Yobe State.

According to him, two members of the local vigilance group were injured by Improvised Explosive Devices in the attack.

Usman added that the Special Forces discovered piles of street lamps poles cut into pieces by Boko Haram terrorists, which they used in making Improvised Explosives Devices’ during a cordon and search operation around Dikwa.

The Acting Army spokesman stressed that the troops of the 7 Division Garrison recovered 15 cows, 174 goats and a donkey from cattle thieves and handed them over to their genuine owners while the rustlers were being interrogated.

Meanwhile, the Acting Director, Defence Information, Col. Rabe Abubakar, has said the United Kingdom had restated its readiness to support Nigeria in its fight against terrorism.

Abubakar stated that the British Deputy Chief of Defence Staff on Military Strategy and Operations, Lt. Gen. Gordon Messenger, made the comment when he led some senior military officers from the UK on a courtesy visit to the Chief of Defence Staff, Maj. Gen Gabriel Olonisakin, in Abuja on Thursday.

Messenger explained that the UK delegation was in the country to identify ideal areas of collaboration between the two countries in the fight against terrorism

war is 90% logistics.
Someone made an analogy of the way the last administration was fo0lishly or incompetently going about the war against BH. He said if you have a leaking pipe in your house and the room is flooded, the most rational thing to do is to stop the leakage or at least turn off the supply to the leaking pipe before thinking about mopping the floor.
The last administration kept "mopping" the floor by fighting with ill motivated soldiers while the "leaking pipe" was left unplugged i.e BH financiers are not captured, logistics suppliers like in this case were left to keep rendering all sorts of support to the terrorist group.
Kudos and God's Blessing to the Brave men on the front line.
