All has to be done is for crash bars to be mandated for installation being trailers, stop trailer from recklessly parking on the sides of major roads, ban commercial vehicles with no passenger safety features, and more driver training.

Which one will happen faster? Driver training. The idiot driver killed all those people for no good reason. Any commercial driver worth his salt should be able to drive at a prudent speed in order to bring his vehicle to a halt due to any emergency need on the open highway.

How many vehicles drove through that spot that day? What made this driver the lucky one?

Our transportation system lacks the professionalism it needs to keep our roads safe. I hope the government can begin to look into this.
Starting from Tricycle (keke) operators to Luxury bus, trailer and tanker drivers, they all have a responsibility to convey their passengers safely from one place to another.
Driver training and vehicle road worthiness are very important. If this accident had occurred at a junction a commercial vehicle driver should not have been traveling at the speed that can cause such fatality as seen in the images.
The right agencies need to clamp down on transport operators to ensure that they engage individuals who are educated on how to use the roads and can recognize potential hazards and have responsibility in their duty.
In this kind of circumstance, what is the likely insurance cover for the victims when all they bargained for was just to get from point A to B?
The tow van driver probably had done this on the road several times until this day. He probably has not learn t his lesson yet thanking his god that the bus driver managed to avoid him to the death of many.

The horrific and unfortunate accident happened on August 6th around 6pm at Ubulu Okiti Junction in Aniocha South LGA of Delta state. A driver of a commercial bus carrying 14 passengers lost control on the highway as he was trying to avoid a towing van which entered the highway without caution.

The bus, carrying mostly students, and traveling from Asaba to Agbor, unfortunately ran into a stationed trailer parked beside the Express way as he made to avoid the towing van. Of all 15 people in the bus, only 2 survived and are in critical condition at the hospital. The photos after the cut are really horrific so viewer discretion is seriously advised...
