freeradical: Are you alright? You wanted us to send in Soldiers so that almost 500,000 Americans could lose their lives against an axis of enemies that was racing to develop Nuclear weapons themselves? What do you think they were gonna do once they developed it: Use it against us or just stare at it gleefully like a man smitten by his beautiful girlfriend? |

lordtech:Wake up to reality. Far worse than these are coming. Many countries are armed with nuclear weapons. Some have nuclear reactors for power generation that can easily be converted to producing nuclear missiles and bombs. World War 3 is coming. It's a fact. Russia and North Korea are war-hungry, China is not smiling, the grudge between Israel and neighbouring countries is still looming and is bound to go outta hand someday. WW2, the most devastating war the world have ever experienced will be nothing compared to WW3. Reason not far-fetched: World War 3 will be a FULL SCALE NUCLEAR WAR. The world will suffer. Goodnews is that you can escape it. Repent and give your life to JESUS CHRIST, He will take away His saints from this world before the great evil is unleashed 1 Like 1 Share |

GentleToks: Probably would have said that the decision to bomb America would have stopped the US from the land invasion. Come to think of it...the US, the Japanese and the Germans were all developing nuclear weapons. The US won the race. |

▶ U.S. Army poster prepares the public for the invasion ofJapan after ending war on Germany and Italy. The United States dropped atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945, during the final stage of the Second World War. The two bombings, which killed at least 129,000 people, remain the only use of nuclear weapons for warfare in history. As the war entered its sixth and final year, the Allies had begun to prepare for what was anticipated to be a very costly invasion of the Japanese mainland. This was preceded by an immensely destructive fire bombing campaign that obliterated many Japanese cities. The war in Europe had concluded when Nazi Germany signed it instrument of surrender on May 8, 1945, but with the Japanese refusal to accept the Allies' demands for unconditional surrender, the Pacific War continued. Together with the United Kingdom and China, the United States called for the unconditional surrender of the Japanese armed forces in the Potsdam Declaration on July 26, 1945; this was buttressed with the threat of "prompt and utter destruction".In July 1945, the Allied Manhattan Project successfully detonated an atomic device in the New Mexico desert and by August had produced atomic weapons based on two alternate designs. The 509th Composite Group of the U.S. Army Air Forces was equipped with the specialized Silver plate version of the Boeing B-29 Super fortress, that could deliver them from Tinian in the Mariana Islands. A uranium gun-type atomic bomb (Little Boy) was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, followed by a plutonium implosion-type bomb (Fat Man) on the city of Nagasaki on August 9, Little Boy exploded 2,000 feet above Hiroshima in a blast equal to 12–15,000 tons of TNT, destroying five square miles of the city. Within the first two to four months ofthe bombings, the acute effects of the atomic bombings killed 90,000–166,000 people in Hiroshima and 39,000–80,000 in Nagasaki; roughly half of the deaths in each city occurred on the first day. During the following months, large numbers died from the effect of burns, radiation sickness, and other injuries, compounded by illness and malnutrition. In both cities, most of the dead were civilians, although Hiroshima had a sizable military garrison. On August 15, just days after the bombing of Nagasaki and theSoviet Union's declaration of war, Japan announced its surrender to the Allies. On September 2, it signed the instrument of surrender, effectively ending World War II. The bombing' role in Japan's surrender and their ethical justification arestill debated. source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atomic_bombings_of_Hiroshima_and_Nagasaki?_e_pi_=7%2CPAGE_ID10%2C3417796502

This type of leaflet was dropped on Japan several months before the attack, showing the names of 12 Japanese cities targeted for destruction by firebombing. The other side contained text saying "we cannot promise that only these cities will be among those attacked ..."

These two cities "Hiroshima/Nagasaki" were largely untouched during the nightly bombing raids and the Army Air Forces agreed to leave themoff the target list so accurate assessment of the weapon could be made. Hiroshima was described as "an important army depot and port of embarkation in the middle of an urban industrial area. It is a good radar target and it is such asize that a large part of the city could be extensively damaged. There are adjacent hills which are likely to produce a focusing effect which would considerably increase the blast damage. Edwin O. Reischauer, a Japan expert for the U.S. Army Intelligence Service, was incorrectly said to have prevented the bombing of Kyoto. In his autobiography, Reischauer specifically refuted this claim:... the only person deserving credit for saving Kyoto from destruction is Henry L. Stimson, the Secretary of War at the time, who had known and admired Kyoto ever since his honeymoon there several decades earlier. On May 30, Stimson asked Groves to remove Kyoto from the target list, but Groves pointed to its military and industrialsignificance. Stimson then approached President Harry S. Truman about the matter. Truman agreed with Stimson, and Kyoto was temporarily removed from the target list. Groves attempted to restore Kyoto to the target list in July, but Stimson remained adamant. On July 25, Nagasaki was put on the target list in place of Kyoto.

China should learn from Japan's disastrous defeat: never challenge the hegemony of the whites if you value your lives. But I suspect they might do the same thing the Japs did and lose even more catastrophically. After all, they're all slant-eyed and think alike. 1 Like |

Yujin: Every problem has a begining When you lose you way you have to go back to the begining Truth and sincerity is the key Without this there can be no justice, equity and fairness Where there is no justice, equity and fairness War is inevitable The young ones need to start doing this now and fast cause they are running late Repent where you've sinned Restore where you've taken wrongly With this Forgivenss can be achieved With Forgiveness comes Reconsiliation With Reconsiliation comes Peace Peace is always the final destination Every journey has a final destination What ever route is taken (war or reconsiliation) the journey ends at the final destination (peace) |
