A fully loaded BRT bus which was conveying passengers from Obalende to Ajah has just lost control and plunged into a roadside market at the Igbo-Efon round around in Lekki. According to witnesses who were onsight as the incident occurred said that the bus failed break and then ran into a roadside woman's kiosk. There were no casualties, just a couple of minor injuries sustained by the driver of the bus who has been taken to a clinic. Road safety and traffic officials were on the scene of the accident and are ensuring that traffic continues to flow smoothly despite the gridlock that is already ongoing around the axis. It looks like no life was lost in the pix. We thank JaH for that. Every accident is always blamed on break failure, while most are caused by human error and over speeding. |

According to witnesses who were onsight as the incident occurred said that the bus failed break and then ran into a roadside woman's kiosk. This is always the usual excuse when actually overspeeding is the cause. For me, it is better to be safe than be sorry and again, it is better to be late than be late. Overspeeding kills, life has no duplicate. Once lost, it's lost forever. |
