These are photos from various rescue operations by Migrant Offshore Aid Station (MOAS), MSF International,Guardia Costiera with the assistance of Italian and Swedish coast guards. The migrants are mostly from Nigeria, Sudan, Eritrea and Somalia, all traveling aboard rubber boats.

I was there

Sometimes I ask myself "Is our country that bad, that our compatriots choose to leave the way they do?". Please fellow compatriots, don't drown yourself in the Mediterranean or any ocean. Stay here and make it. Don't go there, and be seen as a helpless slave
