A look at Nigeria's history will reveal that Nigeria had only 6 non military leaders since independence. These guys are:

1. Nnamdi Azikiwe 1960-1966
2. Tafawa Balewa 1960-1966
3. Shehu Shagari 1979-1983
4. Shonekan. 1993-1993
5. Umaru Yar'adua 2007-2010
6. Goodluck Jonathan. 2010-2015

These men were Nigeria's most democratic leaders who never belong to the military establishment. But the irony of the whole thing is that, despite the fact that they were the most democratic individuals Nigeria ever had, they were all kicked out in an unceremonial manner.

- Nnamdi and Tafawa balewa were booted out through military coup in 1966.
-Shehu Shagari was overthrown in 1983 coup, three weeks after being sworn in for second term.
-Shonekan was flinged-out in 1993. He spend only 3 months in power.
-Late Umaru Yar'adua was brought in by OBJ, a military man.
Finaly GEJ was elected-out of office through a well planned conspiracy in 2015. He was defeated by his opponent, a former military man. The same individual who kicked Shagari out in 1983. SMH
All these leaders share one thing in common; They were all removed unceremoniously by military men. When we consider the fact that the military ruled Nigeria more than the civilians, it will be safe to say that the country, Nigeria is owned by the military establishment.
The big question now is, are Nigerians democracy loving citizens? Or are they just hypocritical dictatorship loving people?

Jonathan was a failure of a leader, that's the only reason why he was kicked out; that's the only reason why he could even have been kicked out.

You guys should stop all this rubbish talk about conspiracy. GEJ's incompetence is the only conspiracy that kicked him out. It's rather unfortunate that only people from a particular section of the country (the SE) were blind and are still blind to the incompetence of GEJ even though the rest of Nigerians and even foreigners could see it. Even my SS friends agree that GEJ was incompetent but they supported him only cos he was their brother...

I'm tired of hearing this 'conspiracy' blab.
