BH strategized their plan to have a grip on the nation. They initially made pple point accusing fingers at one another while they were busy expanding their territory.

True!

all the lies Oritsejafor et al were propagating about Buhari 'islamizing Nigeria'. The increased tensions and propagation of religious intolerance.

All these helped muddy the waters

What were they expecting the Christian leaders to do other than carry guns and defend themselves against the bloodthirsty Muslims/Islamists, of which the government wouldn't even let them do.

In a saner clime all Muslim clerics ought to be questioned by security operatives and all those sponsoring or recruiting members for boko haram be hanged at the thresholds of their mosques to serve as warming for would be terrorist clerics.

Crying over spilled milk.

The matter at hand is now "what would you do?" not "what we should've done".

I'm beginning believe there is something deeper to this boko haram than what our government or foreign media tell us. I do not believe 3,000 or more individuals can decide one day to pick up arms to fight for an uncertain religion and I also cannot believe a few thousand men can best Africa's greatest defence force for as long as this has lasted.

What I see here is black brothers killing other black brothers over adopted religions. There's no problem with that because right from caveman times humans've always found inane reasons to kill each other. Peace is never an option where humans're concerned.

Chiaka:

Yoruba Muslims are not violent. Check your history they never engage in violence against any other religion. A Yoruba man can be tribalistlic but not a religious bigot.
In the same family in Yoruba land, a wife can be a Christian the husband a muslim or vis va ser and they will live happily.
In a single family you find some muslims and others Christians and they live happily without problems.
That is why sometimes I can't help but wonder if the yoruba muslims practice a different type of Islam from the the hausas.

The northerners(most) are just too dogmatic about this Islam of a religion That they end up making the religion seem so violent.

Though I must state that I have met many northern muslims that are very peace loving and receptive.

This so called Bishop sounds as mentally deranged as Abubakar Shekau himself. Christians have always been victims of Boko Haram's violence (in addition to Muslims) and so how can he now blame Christian leadership?? How were they going to convince these extremist Islamic groups to abandon their violent Jihad??
I would put a majority of blame on this crisis on the Nigerian government. Some Muslim leaders have to be more vocal but i still blame the government and this has nothing to do with religion. It is just plain incompetence and greed because if there is one commonality among Nigerian politicians is that they SABI CHOP wether they are Muslim, Christian or pagan/atheist. angry

On what basis do you base your conclusion, are you telling me you dont have Muslims as neighbors, customers of colleagues, if the religion were that bad, there d be a civil war by now.

Are muslims really fighting boko haram? Pls where and when

Only islamic scholar dat i ever heard conderm boko haram in zaria has been killed

Bishop idowu is base in Kaduna he is always on tv because of dis type of religious diplomacy.

churches are spendin million of naira in north to protect worshippers in church, because many muslim hate to see churches, b4 BH are northerns youth not destroyin church...

many muslim leaders in de north wish BK success so dat we can av islam state....

tell them. The average Muslim has an innate wish that BH will Islamize Nigeria. But one thing remains unanswered. How will a dialogue between the two sides of the leaders curb BH.
