The only part of Nigeria where the temperature appears a little normal is the south-west. In other words, there are no elements fermenting trouble there just like Boko Haram in the north, MOSSOB in south east and the militants in the Niger Delta. MOSSOB and the Niger Delta militants may not be very troublesome at the moment, but it seems they are waiting for the perfect moment to rip Nigeria apart. They are definitely waiting for the moment Nigeria finds itself in a kind of difficult situation where the federal government can no longer cope and be in control. The opportunity can come up if a certain group springs up in the south west and start causing problems there. If crisis breaks out in the south-west I am definitely sure MOSSOB and the Niger Delta guys will try to utilize the opportunity of a distracted Nigerian government push their agendas further. Can the federal government really deal with a troublesome south west, Boko Haram, MOSSOB and the Niger Delta militants all causing problems at the same time? Or will the country simply break up?

Contrary to what anyone may think, i believe it's the core muslim north that's keeping Nigeria one (as presently constituted)!

They are the only group that can pull out and the rest of the country wouldn't even bat an eyelid! In fact i'm pretty certain that on the day, what's left of Nigeria would give a thanksgiving to the almighty and proceed to party like it's 1999!

If Hausas decide to go that is the peaceful and easiest means. But if every other region together except Hausas decide to go it would cost some lives and would still work. But its not possible for a single region to secede on its own like the igbos tried to.
