what of the Igbos in govt

You have already asked this same question under your other moniker and I answered you, but am willing to repeat myself (with emphasis on the bolded portion):

At least you have admitted that you are an igbo impostor using a Yoruba moniker, so that's a start. cheesy. Those 3 past governors you listed are Yorubas so that is all that matters to us Yorubas of this SW region -- unlike you Igbos who hate each others guts so much that Abia govt. fired fellow igbos from imo from their civil service. Besides, those 3 men are bonified Lagosians so what the fvck are you talking about?

Lagos is a Yoruba state, governed by Yorubas, situated in Yorubaland, the most progressive region in the entire country. It is to the credit of the Yorubas that other Nigerians from all ethnic groups find their region and Lagos in particular as a land of opportunity, just as Hispanics, indians, Irish, Italians, Africans are keen to migrate to NY, L.A, London, etc. Can the same be said about your SE region? Where poverty pursues your kinsmen to Lagos and the SW for survival?

Now, the likes of Joe igbokwe and the one commissioner spot in Fashola's gov't are appointed positions. Tinubu started the practice as a gesture of goodwill to the igbo community in Lagos and nothing more. Without Igbos, Yoruba governors will continue to emerge in Lagos as igbo voting strength is practically insignificant, as the last election demonstrated.

If the governor decides not to appoint any igboman or non-indigene into his cabinet nothing will happen. Aregbe also had Ondo indigenes in his cabinet so this practice is no biggie to us here in the SW.

The igbos aren't the only group that live in Lagos, an Urhobo man also won an election to represent his community here in Lagos at the Federal level so quit your noisemaking. But that's the problem with your stvpid lot. In your mind you are the only non-Yoruba in Lagos when in actual fact you all just the loudest. Lagos PDP,which is controlled 100% by Yorubas, gave the non-Yorubas that won election under that party the ticket to represent Lagos, so even those non-Yorubas owe that position to their Yoruba hosts.

Of the 64 or so elective seats in Lagos, only 4 went to non-Yorubas out of the PDP and Accord Party wins, of which one is an urhobo man and 3 igbos. So at 4 out of 64 still gives Yorubas an overwhelming majority control of their state politically, not to mention again that even those non-Yoruba winners owe their tickets to the Yoruba Lagos PDP leadership.

According to the history, the land had no dwellers, Benins were the first to inhabit the land

Benins are not yorubas.
It will then be right to say that the real owners of Eko are Benin
ALL OTHERS ARE MIGRANTS

Do you have to lie on your own post?

Did you not post the information below yourself?

History has it that the Oba of Bini sent various trade expeditions to Ghana where spices were traded and one of his traders complained about the way she was being treated by the Awori's. The Oba of Bini then sent a trade expedition by sea. Ironically, the leader of the expedition arrived in the evening at a time when the people who were predominantly fishermen were either wading into the water or getting into their boats to gather their catch. He declined to engage them further and returned to what is now called Benin City where he reported to the Oba of Bini that they were attacked. This prompted the Oba of Bini to constitute a war expedition led by Ado, a Bini Prince to go to Lagos and demand an explanation. This was over 650 years ago. However, on getting there, they were well received. The people were so enamored with Ado they asked him to stay and lead them.

I guess the Roman Empire extending to Britain and North Africa means the Romans are the real owners of Britain and North Africa?

That a Benin immigrant ruled over the Yoruba natives also means the Yorubas were the fake owners?

I guess the British colonialists are still the real owners of Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya,Zimbabwe.

Are you admitting that Nigeria is not ripe for the inclusive government that Lagos tries to practise with all of its Nigerian inhabitants?

Are you suggesting we practice the Abia State model where you even sack fellow tribesmen, who are non indigenes, from their lawful employment in the state service?

What century of civilization did you just crawl out from?

Lagos was originally inhabited by the Awori subgroup of the Yoruba people. Under the leadership of the Oloye Olofin, the Awori moved to an island now called Iddo and then to the larger Lagos Island.[18][19] In the 15th century, the Awori settlement was conquered by the Benin Empire and the island became a Benin war-camp called "Eko" under Oba Orhogba, the Oba of Benin at the time.[15][20] The Yoruba still use the name Eko to refer to Lagos.

Sorry to disappoint you but according to wiki Lagos was originally inhabited by the Awori subgroup of the Yoruba people. So what exactly is your problem with the Lagos model.

Do you prefer a state where non indigenes are slaughtered just for the fun of it? Or why do you find it abnormal that a state within a unified country can practise some measure of coexistence?

Is your own state hostile to other Nigerians who are not indigenous?

Or does the recent appointment of Yorubas in Kaduna state make the state less Northern owned?

But you still haven't admitted your characteristic folly by claiming that Lagos was originally inhabited by the Benins, when your own post as the OP stated clearly that the Benin king sent an expedition to the Yoruba dwellers there?

Yes Fashola reunited destitutes with their states of origin whether Yoruba or Igbo.

Lagos tax payers money is not for the upkeep of destitutes. Let their states which they recently departed take care of their needs.

They were picked from the streets without any home address nor legitimate economic occupation. Tax paying residents of Lagos were saved the trouble of the nuisance such destitutes could constitute in the future.

They are all now enjoying a simple life in their respective states, no longer a threat to Lagosians and they are certainly living a life better than that on the violent streets of Lagos.
