Former Finance Minister, Dr. (Mrs.) Ngozi Okonjo Iweala may soon be a guest of the EFCC as the Federal Ministry of Health officials are complaining bitterly that she ordered the payment of 2.2million dollars to Global Alliance for vaccine and immunization while the health ministry had issues with the organization.
Insiders at the Health Ministry said the former minister did not even bother to hear the ministry’s side of the dispute before she hurriedly paid GAVI the huge sum of money. Insiders added that the ministry was ready for reconciliation of accounts with GAVI but they were evasive because it had something to hide before it went behind to get paid by the former finance minister, officials are saying that the former minister should be invited by the EFCC to explain her personal interest in the money dispute...
