The Nigeria Army has successfully dealt a decisive blow on Boko haram elements fleeing Sambisa forest yesterday, during their continued aerial bombardment by the Nigerian Air force.

The acting Director of army public relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka in a press release, stated that some of the Boko haram elements were killed while others ran away, fleeing with 7 pick-up vans and motorcycles.

The Nigerian military were able to destroy their vehicles and weapons.

“Troops of 26 Task Force Brigade in Gwoza, Borno State, yesterday evening engaged Boko Haram terrorists fleeing Sambisa forest following continued aerial bombardment by the Nigerian Air Force.
“The fleeing terrorists in 7 Pick-up vans and some motorcycles mounted with assorted weapons such as Rocket Propelled Grenades and Anti-Aircraft Guns were decisively dealt with, killing quite a number of them.

“The troops also destroyed their vehicles, weapons and motorcycles.
