Meanwhile, projects like this has been on in other locations such as Warri, Portharcourt, Yenagoa and Lagos by Private Indigenous Companies.

We don't need Expatriates for a simple thing like this.

It's so alarming that we Nigerians do not trust our professionals.

I know Kano is not the first, but it is good that they've started!

Good move anyway!

As for those fearing for it's sustainability, that's not a problem. one of my clients has been on for over 15 years now, and still empowering youths in Warri.

Its amazing how blind hate and tribal bigotry can make one so st*upid. The doubt if that dunce u quoted understood what he read.

Its just annoying when people come online and talk rubbish, if a government tries to do something great they will come out and say something like, the money the govt should have spent on the poor, if the govt didnt do anything they will still say something like the money they could have used to set up companiesm i just hate to see people talk out of sense

Lolss..so funny, calling conversion of waste to wealth a misplaced priority simply shows hw ignorant u are...u dnt jez hate 4 no reason...if u wanna hate,ur hatred shld hv a better clue...sustainable developmeny simply refers to meeting d needs of d present generation without compromising d needs of d future generations..My question- Which generation do d almAjiris belong to?
Ignorance is a disease,u made me do dis, hvnt commented on nairaland b4.I fnk u ar d misplaced citizen hia. Kudos to d kano govt 4 dis initiative nd optimistic oda states follow suite #environmentalist

Well even among thieves there is honor and dignity so base on that premise it's better to be an almajiri than an Armed Robber/Kidnapper or a cultist
