As a matter of fact you can also get extra hours by listing your PPA and CD Activities under different job headings, especially if you spent enough time on CD group initiatives.

I got chevening this year with NYSC+my teaching in a private school after NYSC+Voluntary research assistant role. The thoughts about the relevance of NYSC was what almost put me of from applying, but thanks to the help and support I got from a group of scholarship enthusiasts, I summoned courage to go on and I got the award.

But ensure your essays are super tight and your university grades are not too low.

I think we need not to be spoon-fed always. For those asking when status of application will start flowing out, there is an application timeline on their website for Christ sake!

Chairman stop trying to claim you are hardworking .i am only asking when they will start sending positive or negative mail pertaining the essay.I know the information for the interview is on their site which is around February.This is the information I saw on their site:

Your application is currently being assessed and you will be informed whether your application will be progressed to the next stage of the selection process SHORTLY.

I want to know how soon we will know our fate, whether it will be divulged to us this year prior to the interview holding next year

Are you currently able to upload any documents... I mean is there link for you to do that if you want to? Because mine is showing only "Withdraw your application" for now... I can't upload documents... What does it mean?

On Facebook Chevening fora, many people got the reject mail in December from other countries. It is mostly people who didn’t fill something right. Things like job experience, citizenship, acceptance to come back for two years etc. Those details disqualified them. Their essays didn’t get to be read at all.

I submitted on the 31st of October 2017. I no understand these people shaa. Let us keep faith. I know some people who have “being assessed” as their status, with reference upload button. I just don’t understand. Most people who got the reject mail had “under review” as their status. Is there still hope?
