Fifteen (15) people in Ekiti State Specialist
Hospital, Ikole Ekiti benefited from the the
ongoing distribution of cheques to indigent
patients (who could not pay their bills) in
offsetting their hospital bills today.
In a related case, one other patient who was not part of the people on the list of beneficiaries also benefited from the program.
11 year old Tope Ogundana, who fell from a
vehicle on motion was rushed to the accident and emergency section of the hospital.
The incident coincided with the visitation of Her Excellency Mrs Feyisetan Fayose to the health facility.
The mother of the boy – a widow who could not afford the cost of the treatment required for the boy cried to Her Excellency for help.
Mrs Feyisetan in her usual kindness felt for her, ordered immediate treatment for the boy and picked the bills.
