German minister proposes ending Shengen agreement because of too many migrants.

Germany's interior minister says he cannot rule out suspending participation in the agreement allowing passport-free travel between most European states.

Thomas de Maiziere told the BBC he supported the Schengen Agreement, but that it could be "in danger".
"If nobody sticks to the law, then Schengen is in danger, that's why we urgently need European solutions," he said.

His comments come amid what one EU official called "the worst refugee crisis since the Second World War".

Let's see how British-born nationals would like it when they have to queue at the embassy of Greece in London to get a visa for their holiday.

it's never going to happen. The treaty of Rome is one of the cardinal principles establishing the European community. It is more or less sacrosanct. When Germany and France and Italy are talking about ever closer union while the UK seeks an opt out, how can free movement cease to exist? didn't you see how they all scramble to keep Greece in the Union Not going to happen in a million years

Not going to affect British citizens as long as Greece remains EU member, what they are talking about here is Schengen Agreement which allows non EU members to move around other EU countries with just one visa.
