Common English Errors In Nairaland! Put Your Mouth Jare! by agabaI23(m): 3:23pm On Mar 27, 2009 |
Hi I think it will be nice if we help ourselves. There are some common mistakes we make while speaking this borrowed language called English. Some times they are typographical other times we do not know it is wrong. I want to learn more and that is why I am starting this thread. Let me give an example of what I mean. Some one may want to write the short form of 'I am' but he will end up writing 'am' I think the proper one is 'I'm' not 'am' I'm sure or I am sure. 'am' comes in before I, like 'Am I sure?' But I have seen someone write, 'I'm I sure'? have you observed any? |

Re: Common English Errors In Nairaland! Put Your Mouth Jare! by agabaI23(m): 11:52pm On Apr 01, 2009 |
Larayat and Neo Una well done. @lara I never said I am perfect. On the contrary, I said that I want to learn also. You kept using the error I pointed out probably because you wanted to know what I would say. lol 'I'm' can never be 'am'. Let's know your own observations please! Omo I do make such mistakes as you pointed out sometimes but most times I correct it when I am editting. |

At least an english student could afford to write it good so others can understand. You should not have good english in the same senstence with craps used in a 'forum' |
